Meet Our Team
The Dayspring Team
Dayspring Midwifery has a rock-solid team dedicated to the health of mother and child from the beginning of your pregnancy through six weeks postpartum. Dayspring has had the honor of providing midwifery care for more than 2,000 families and has helped train many local Idaho and out-of-state midwives. Having chosen midwifery care for their own births, the midwives at Dayspring are able to serve from a place of empathy and personal experience.

Founder of Dayspring, CPM, LM
Inga Arts

I am Inga Arts, LM, CPM. I received my midwifery training in Alaska under two amazing licensed midwives that were instrumental in the creation of the National American Registry of Midwives (NARM). This is the governing body that certifies midwives, nationwide. I became a Certified Professional Midwife (CPM) under NARM in 1997 and when Idaho became a licensed state in 2010 I was the second midwife in the state to obtain my license. I have been married to a very supportive husband for 33+ years. He has helped me see my dream of a birthing center become a reality. We have four wonderful children, all of who have been born at home with midwives. I had the joy of delivering 11 of my grandchildren! I have been involved with birth since 1988 and have been caring for my own clients since 1997 when I started DaySpring and delivered well over 1,000 babies.
In 2004 we were blessed with an old farm home which we transformed into a beautiful birth center. Since then God has put together a great team of women who love to serve and care for women, just as I do. I couldn’t do all that I do without them!
My life is filled with being a midwife, spending precious time with my grown children, being Grammy, and enjoying life on our little piece of heaven out on the prairie. I love to travel and now at this stage of my life, I am able to get a few trips in here and there. I like it most when I can take my entire family, which is getting harder given the size. I enjoy keeping many balls in the air at one time, God sustains me and for that, I am blessed.

Licensed Midwife, CPM, LM
Jessica Borges

Jessica Borges is a Certified Professional Midwife through the North American Registry of Midwives (NARM) and a Licensed Midwife in good standing with the state of Idaho. Jessica began attending births with Inga Arts in 2002. She completed an apprenticeship with Inga and obtained her CPM certification in 2006. After practicing several years with Inga and helping to open the Dayspring Birth Center, she stepped away from midwifery to focus on raising her children. After more than ten years away, she returned to midwifery and to Dayspring in 2020. She renewed her certification with NARM; passing the NARM a second time, and obtained her Idaho Midwifery License in 2021. She is certified in Neonatal Resuscitation and CPR, takes part in quarterly peer reviews, and is a member of the Idaho Midwifery Council.

Student Midwife
Bekah Fanciullo

I’m Rebekah Fanciullo, midwifery has been the atmosphere I grew up in. Watching my mom build Dayspring from the ground up, I knew it was something special. I started my midwifery journey fresh out of high school. After accomplishing Mercy In Action School of Midwifery, I promptly started my clinical studies at Dayspring Midwifery at the young age of 18. Dayspring was rapidly growing and the time demand was above my expectation. After 6 months of training, I left Dayspring to go experience life, leaving, but knowing in my heart one day I would be back. God blessed me with a baby girl at the age of 19. He continued to walk me through countless adventures, leading me to a life I could have only dreamed of. I began a very successful real estate career and met a man that was everything my daughter and I needed. We are now building a beautiful life together raising our three children. After birthing two children in the hands of my mom and being pregnant with my third, I returned to Dayspring in 2021. My life experiences and the ability to understand the needs of women in their pregnancy journey through my own have fed my passion to carry out the legacy of Dayspring.

Doula & Childbirth Educator
Jennifer Bookamer

Hello! I’m Jennifer Bookamer. I have been a childbirth educator and doula since 1998. My goal is to help families increase confidence and decrease fear.
I believe that you are capable of making decisions that are right for your family. If you are uncertain and need more information, I can help you find it. Support from me is unbiased and calming. Your partner will receive support as well, which brings a sense of relief and more enjoyment of the journey. My desire for you is that when you tell your birth story, you remember the day as one that was positive and empowering!
Any birth worker will tell you they can’t do this without support. I am grateful to have a family that stands behind me, including my husband and two grown daughters.
I am honored to have been a part of the Dayspring team since 2003.
I have been fortunate enough to be involved in the birth education process for over 500 couples in the Inland Northwest. It’s my honor to attend births as a doula as well, and support families in their pregnancy, birth, and postpartum time.
I am excited for your family, and looking forward to talking with you more about how I can walk alongside you!

Emma Jenkins

Hi! I’m Emma Jenkins, massage therapist. I graduated from the RCMT in 2019 and started working at DaySpring 2020. I also teach Infant Massage on Friday afternoons. My husband and I have been blessed with two rambunctious little boys, of which the oldest was born in a hospital and the youngest was born at DaySpring. Seeing how different the care was between my two boys makes me grateful to be part of such an amazing place.
